How to find and rent items on Rentlio.

Finding an item

Use Browse or search to find what you need. You can filter by category, location, and price. Listing pages show the overnight rate, deposit, and availability. Contact the lister through the platform to ask questions before requesting a booking.

Requesting a booking

Listers set pickup and return windows for their listings. When you request a rental, choose your dates and select a scheduled pickup appointment slot and a scheduled return appointment slot within those windows. You'll see a price breakdown (per overnight, deposit, protection fee) before submitting. The lister will confirm or decline.

Pickup and return

Arrive during your scheduled pickup appointment and inspect the item; note any existing damage. Return it by the end of your scheduled return appointment and in the same condition. Late fees are based on your return appointment end time—see our Late returns policy.

Protection fee and deposits

When you request a booking, the price breakdown shows rental subtotal (per overnight), then Protection fee, then Total. The protection fee helps cover eligible damage or loss during your rental; it is non-refundable. If the lister requires a deposit, it appears under the total—deposits are a refundable hold (not part of the amount charged upfront) and are typically released after you return the item in agreed condition. Deductions may apply for damage, loss, or late return.
